Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test cases for REST APIs using Postman and backend automation frameworks.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain backend automation scripts using RestAssured, TestNG, and Java.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins for continuous testing.
• Perform functional, regression, and integration testing for backend services.
• Conduct database validation and data integrity testing across SQL and Cassandra databases.
• Perform performance and load testing using JMeter, analyze system behavior, and report bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and DevOps teams to identify issues early and improve quality standards.
• Participate in test strategy discussions, documentation, and continuous improvement of QA practices.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in API testing using Postman and understanding of RESTful web services.
• Solid hands-on expertise in Java, TestNG, and RestAssured for backend automation.
• Practical experience integrating automation with Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong database testing skills – SQL and NoSQL (Cassandra).
• Experience with JMeter for performance and load testing.
• Proficiency with Git, JSON/XML, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Good debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of API mocking tools (Swagger, WireMock).
• Experience with log analysis tools (Splunk, Kibana, or similar).

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• Own cross-browser and responsive testing coverage.

• Work closely with developers, QA, and DevOps to triage and prevent defects.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on in Java, Selenium, TestNG, and Appium.
• Good understanding of REST/JSON, Git, and build tools (Maven/Gradle).
• Experience with Jenkins or similar CI pipelines.
• Solid debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
